Mr Brown is now taking enrolments for his online early years Reception class starting September 2021.
This class is part of a home-schooling programme for parents/guardians who wish to home school their children and ensure that all learning outcomes have been met for Reception year; usually aimed at 4 – 5 year olds but suitable for extra curriculum activities where needed.
Whilst Reception class is not compulsory in schools, it is helpful if learners can learn these key tasks in preparation for Key Stage 1.

Mr Brown will carefully and slowly teach early years learners, the foundations of literacy in preparation for Key Stage 1, at the end of the school year. Once completed, if learners wish to attend a conventional school for Key Stage 1, they will be prepared. Alternatively, they are free to join our other Key Stage 1 learners, studying online through our school.
On completion, learners will be confident with the alphabet and blending words together using phonics; whilst recognising the 44 sounds that consist of phonemes. Mr Brown also holds a reading class where learners can listen to fun stories and have the opportunity of learning to read themselves.
All activities and worksheets are downloadable; therefore, you can print them as many times as you wish to repeat activities where necessary. Ideas for activities that you can complete together will also be provided, giving you the opportunity to practice simple recipes or identify insects on walks.
Mr Brown has not forgotten maths and numbers up to 20 will be taught, together with learning different shapes, patterns, sizes and groups. This will give a real boost to those early years skills in preparation for Key Stage 1.
